Romantic Mystery
I got the lamest fortune cookie from Panda Express today. I can’t figure out what it means. What is a ‘romantic mystery’? What is it? Is it a book or a person? What?
I don’t take fortune cookies seriously, but when everyone in your life tries to blow out your light, the message on a fortune cookie can help keep the light burning.
But this one, with this fortune cookie I have no idea how to interpret what it’s saying.
What do you think this fortune cookie means?
Anyways, I keep hearing people tell me about how now is the time to buy a house (in California). Says who? I want to know who is saying this because I don’t think now is the time to buy a house, especially with the banks trying to sell houses for more than what they are worth. Plus, every person I know who is part of the baby boomer generation plans on leaving California when they retire. What happens with real estate when there are more houses for sale than there are buyers? The price of real estate goes down.

Day 32
Once you get out of the habit of doing something, it’s hard to get back into it. I’ve been having a hard time getting back into going out every night. I just don’t feel like doing it. But I need to because my future depends on it. The more people I meet the better.
I could be out right now. The night is still young.
I must read my read my Bible though. I hate going to bed early. I can sleep when I’m dead!
I have to plan out my trips and guestimate how much time I’m going to need for the traveling I plan on doing this year. So many places to go and so many people to see but I’m hoping to be able to write off every last one of my trips.
I’ve been eating a lot of Panda Express lately. Thought it would be nice to post the latest fortune cookie. Particularly like this one.

A cousin tagged me so I’m posting 25 things about myself. I’m supposed to post the rules and tag a couple of folks but that’s just not my thing. If you want to try this then go ahead and try it.
- I think I have a great buttom and wish I had eyes in the back of my head so I can get a better look at it in a mirror.
- I’ve been celibate for almost 5 years (6 years if you count that time I wasn’t there mentally).
- I don’t have a favorite color.
- I’m terrified of becoming overweight and weigh myself almost everyday to ensure I stay within my ideal weight.
- I can’t seem to maintain relationships because I value my “me time” too much.
- I’m attracted to younger men. I think the Jonas brothers are hot!!! I would get excited when their Target commercial came on tv. <?> I don’t know why you say good buy. I say hello. Hello! Hello! <?>
- I started writing a book during January National Novel Writing Month 2006 about a women who was being stalked by a man who burglarized her home. I stopped because the story shifted from her to him and his character was too scary for me to continue. I got about about 7,000/50,000 words done.
- I considered becoming Mormon or Jewish. I think Mormons are charming and Jews are mysterious.
- I want to join a nudist colony. I hate wearing clothes.
- I feel lonelier when I’m with a group of people than when I’m by myself.
- I want to be a screenwriter.
- I hate it when people imbed music on their blogs. I have my own playlist I like to listen to when I surf the blogosphere. I don’t want to listen to yours!
- I love to read. I especially like to read How-to books.
- I’m seriously considering Sisterlocks for my hair. I feel it’s time to style my hair in a way that’s complimentary to my natural hair texture. I’m tired of fighting what God has given me.
- I find the word ‘nappy’ unbelievably offensive and don’t understand why black folks use the word to describe their hair. Please tell me it’s not the new term of endearment for black hair.
- I recently joined Meetup.com. I’m hoping to meet some single people (without children) to hang out with in the Antelope Valley.
- I have the soul of a 500-pound woman. I love food. I don’t really like cooking but I definitely like eating.
- I was devastated when I found out corned beef and cabbage wasn’t soul food. Who knew it was an Irish dish! Do they eat it with corn bread, too?
- I think sharing 25 things about myself is a little excessive. Why not just 5 or 10? Who ever came up with this social tag must have been really bored.
- I don’t like shaving so I opted to get my underarms and my bush lasered off.
- I had a really big crush on Matthew McConaughey. I think he has the most perfect arms, legs, and chest. Who cares if he has bad body odor! That’s what baths are for, danggit!
- I think I’m the only person in my family who didn’t vote for Barack Obama. Sorry. I’m an independent and think McCain and Obama were two of the worst candidates for POTUS since Bush and Kerry! I don’t consider my vote wasted just because I used it on a third party candidate either. If Americans actually thought about the candidates they vote for we wouldn’t be in this mess to begin with. Damn @ssphants!
- I’ve celebrated my 23rd birthday several times and I plan to keep doing it.
- I’m tired of school and don’t plan to go back ever again.
- I don’t like being tagged.
Health and television
I thought about going vegetarian for a while because I find meat upsets my stomach. Well, everything upsets my stomach. I had a few pieces of some lamb and I just couldn’t bring myself to eat any more. The meat was so fatty. It was the look of the meat that turned my stomach more than the meat itself. I just don’t like looking or eating fatty meat.
I had some Panda Express the other day and it upset my stomach. I did, however, enjoy my fortune cookie. “Striving for the best will bring you closer to the best.” I like it.

I cannot wait to be done with school. I’ve got a lot of television writing and a lot of television and movie watching to
do. I’m especially looking forward to the premier of Dollhouse (Fox) as I am a huge Joss Whedon fan. You can read more about Dollhouse at Fox.
I was a little worried at first because the premise of the show was eerily similar to NBC’s My Own Worst Enemy (which has been cancelled) but I’m certain Joss and his team of writer’s can make Dollhouse a million times more interesting than My Own Worst Enemy. Believe me, I know the power of Joss. I’ve been watching his shows from beginning to end since I discovered Buffy. I have every show of his on DVD. Buffy, Angel, Firefly and eventually I’ll be adding Dollhouse.
Day 330
36 more days until the new year! Yeah baby! I can?t wait. The end is near. The end is near.
Now I didn?t do any blogging last night about Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, but it seems Blondie (Riley) is actually from the future and she?s in the present to divert John?s attention away from his fembot (Cameron). I suspect John and Cameron somehow develop a romantic relationship. I mean, she wouldn?t be valuable if she couldn?t feel, right?
Which got me thinking about my manbot (if it was ever possible to have one). He would be silent type, good with his hands, and have great man nipples, and strong arms. He?d look like Matthew McConaughey or Gerry Butler in 300. Totally hot!
I went to Panda Express today, what you see above is what was in my fortune cookie. What the heck does that crap mean? Couldn?t the dang cookie just give me some winning lottery numbers?
I have no idea of what else to blog about. I have to get up early and run to the post office and then I have to work on my resume packet for that job I?m applying for. I have until the 15 of December to get it done but I think I want to get it in the mail this weekend. The quicker I can get away from my current employer the better as I?m just miserable.

Day 327
So, today hasn?t been any different from the previous Saturdays this past year. I have 10 weeks left in school. I?ve probably already mentioned this but I don?t think anyone, including I, can get tired of hearing that.
I?m watching one of my favorite shows 17 Kids and Counting. I love watching the Duggars. I think they have something. I?m not sure what it is but I watching this family despite some people reading more into Duggar lifestyle than there really is. I don?t see anything racist about them having so many children. I think the Duggar children all have different personalities.
I took a weird body quiz and one of the questions was
What would happen if you never brushed your hair?
- It would fall out.
- It would stop growing.
- It would grow faster.
- It would form dreadlocks.
I got 7 out of 10 right, which I supposed is about right for me when it comes to multiple-choice questions.
I went about looking for jobs to apply for. There?s a job I have my eye on. I have to have my application packet in my December 15. So, I guess I will take Wednesday off so I can work on my resume packet that way I can get in the mail by next Saturday.
I have this thing for watching Man vs Wild and Survivorman. Great shows. However, whatever Bear Grylls and Les Stroud call protein, I call worms. I think the things they are willing to put in their mouths are interesting.
Well, I need to wash my hair. My scalp is flaking really bad and it feels greasy. I need to make an appointment to see a doctor about this issue.
Day 325
I just saw on the news how the stock prices of the major banks dropped by more than 20 percent! Holly smokes. Citi stock dropped to under $5. Wow. If you have the money to invest….just be careful. You could be buying stock that will not be worth anything in the future.
I went to Panda Express with some folks I used to work with. I don?t feel like blogging about that. However, my Panda Express fortune says real estate is the way to go.
All honesty, I don?t see anything with the economy getting better anytime soon. It?s getting pretty scary. Is the world coming to an end? Is this really the beginning of something more devastating than the Great Depression? How long will it last?
I desperately need a vacation. Someplace like outer space.
That is it about the new movie Twilight? People are sleeping outside just to see the movie. Is this going to be a real blockbuster? I guess I?ll be taking a trip to the movies this weekend. I also want to see the new Will Smith movie. I think it will be good. I didn?t care much for I am Legend. I don?t really understand what his movie is about.
Day 222
I didn?t do much today except outline my paper that?s due on Monday. I plan to write it tomorrow. Hopefully I will be able to get it done. I?m really tired of school and would normally have finished it by now but there is something else I?d rather be doing. Like biting my toenails.
I was looking forward to some Japanese food but had to settle for Panda Express. Panda Express is about the best Chinese food available in the Antelope Valley. Sad really since it isn?t all that great. I don?t even like the fortune cookies. Here?s what my Panda Express fortune for today:
